SUMMER SCHOOLS
The schools on offer are:
SUMMER PLAYSCHOOL
1. Summer Playschool: €170 per week
Age group: 6 and under
Monday to Friday
Young children will have a fun-filled day in which they will enjoy a range of educational activities delivered through play, art, drama and music. The language of instruction is English so that young children will experience this language while learning through play. In addition to the teacher and assistant, a qualified nurse is employed to look after the children throughout the day. The children will also take part in activities arranged by visiting craftspeople and sports instructors.
JUNIOR SUMMER SCHOOL
2. Junior Summer School: €170 per week
Age group: 7 to 12
Children of Primary age will have a fun-packed week of sports, creative art, design technology, drama and ICT. Throughout the week the children experience workshops from visiting professionals in art, fencing, football, tennis, ceramics and dance. If weather permits (not too hot or too wet), we will take the children on a short hike and spend time at the outdoor swimming pool at Slavin.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE SCHOOL
3. English Language School: €200 per week

The course will run for four weeks, although participants may enroll on any individual week. All participants will be asked to sit a placement test on arrival. The course will be open to all children of school age, from beginner to advanced level English.
Children will formally study English until lunch time. After lunch the children will join the Junior Summer School programme to experience the use of English in a non-classroom setting. All afternoon activities are carried out in English and children will be encouraged to use English throughout the afternoon.

PROGRAMME
SUMMER SCHOOL DAY
The Day will start at 09:00. Children will be collected by their teacher from the lobby which is situated at the side of the school building (not the school office entrance). Signs will be placed outside the school, so there should not be any confusion. Parents may leave their children in the playschool from 08:30 where they will be cared for by one of our supervisors. The summer school finishes at 15:00 and parents, or a named adult should collect children from the lobby area by 15:30. We will not allow children to be taken from school by any adult other than parents, unless we have prior authorization to do so from parents. If parents are unable to collect their children, they should contact us with the name of the person who will be coming in their place.
BUS SERVICE
If a minimum of 6 children requires it, a bus service will be provided to take children to and from their homes each day.
LUNCHES AND SNACKS
Snacks Break 11:00 to 11:30
Lunch Break 12:30 to 13:30
We are unable to provide food during the school holiday period. Parents should therefore provide their child’s lunch and snack. This may be a cold packed lunch containing such things as a sandwich, fruit, drink, and fruit. Food can be heated in our microwave by one of our supervisors. This means that parents can provide their children with pre-cooked meals. We can also store perishable foods in the refrigerator.
Children may eat their snacks and lunches in the dining hall, after which they may choose to go to the small playground, where we have swings and sports equipment, or stay in one of the lobby areas, if the weather is too hot or raining. Supervisors will be on snack and lunch duties to supervise children. At least one supervisor will be qualified to administer first aid and carry with them the first-aid kit at all times. In the event of accident or injury we will contact parents immediately and, where necessary, we will seek further medical assistance.
TIMETABLES
Our Summer School is at Mudronova school in central Bratislava. The school is opposite the Hotel Albrecht.
